Why Glass?
Our most commonly asked question: Will a glass toy break inside of me? We are not aware of a single instance in the United States of a properly-made borosilicate glass toy breaking inside someone during play. And while you should be careful not to drop glass toys on hard surfaces, many people who have dropped them report their toys were good to go after a quick inspection. We're so confident in glass toys' superior construction and health benefits that they are the only toys we use in our own bedrooms.
Not only are glass toys better constructed than traditional plastic toys, but they have several important health benefits:
No microplastics: Laboratory testing has found microplastics being shed from common plastic sex toys and vibrators, which can be absorbed through the porous membranes of the vagina or colon. Our glass products are made of durable, high-strength borosilicate glass -- the same material you trust with your family's nutrition anytime you cook with Pyrex dishware. (We don't even use plastic in our packaging!)
No dyes: Plastic products contain dyes that may be linked to cancer risk. Even many other online sellers' glass products are adulterated with colored dyes. We specially fabricated our products with clear, pure glass so you can rest easy that dyes are being kept away from your most sensitive areas.
No phthalates: Robert F. Kennedy Jr's MAHA Report found that phthalates "can trigger hormone dysregulation and reproductive and developmental problems for babies in-utero and infants." As moms being prescribed toys for pelvic floor therapy during pregnancy, we care deeply about the impact these common plastic chemicals can have on an unborn child -- we believe our glass products are some of your safest options for pelvic floor strengthening during and after pregnancy.
Easy to sanitize: Common plastic toys have pores that can let bacteria grow between uses, requiring sanitizing with chemicals. Many people fail to properly clean toys -- particularly when used for both anal and vaginal play -- which can lead to UTIs or yeast infections. Glass toys can be boiled in water to sanitize them between uses, when alternating between anal and vaginal use, or even when alternating between partners. (We believe divorced women deserve toys that can be easily sanitized!)
Hot and Cold: Plastic toys can be unpleasantly cold when pulled out of a nightstand, and they are extremely difficult to safely heat or chill. Our glass products are made with durable borosilicate glass that can be boiled then plunged into ice water without cracking. Heat your glass toy up to body temperature (or even a little warmer) for relaxation, or chill your toy in the refrigerator for a unique sensation. (It may even help you or your partner ease into exploring anal play more easily.)
Strong as You: Plastic toys can be cut, snapped, or ripped. Even regular use creates enough abrasion to shed microplastics into your sensitive mucous lining. Borosilicate glass is incredibly strong, able to withstand compression and sheer forces (like exerting pressure upward) without shattering like normal soda-lime glass used in stemware. It is also heat-tolerant, which is why it can be boiled and then rapidly chilled without cracking.
If you are tempted by a cheap plastic toy online, have a look at the microplastics they can leave behind inside of you:
Protect yourself, your body, and your unborn children: only put a pure, clear glass toy from MAHA Glass inside of you. It's the healthy choice.
